Our privacy policy

Community Launchpad, LLC, [doing business as Steadii,] (collectively, “Steadii,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy (this “Privacy Policy”). This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide through your use of our Site, mobile and web application, and any other products and services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Services”).


Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not consent to the terms of the Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Services. As a user of our Services (collectively “User,” “you,” or “your”), you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy, and our Terms of Service (located at https://terms.steadii.com) as may be amended from time to time. Additionally, your continued use of our Services after we revise this Privacy Policy means you accept those changes.  


INFORMATION WE COLLECT FROM YOU


We collect information from Users (including “Personal Information” and “Health Information” as defined below) because the collection and processing of that information is necessary for us to provide the Services. The type of information we collect changes depending on the features of the Services you are using, but in each case, you will only be required to provide the information necessary for us to provide the Services that you request. The sections below explain the categories of data we collect and process, as well as the reasons we do so: 


Personal Information


When you register for or use the Services, interact with our Site or mobile and web application, or otherwise contact Steadii, we receive and collect personally identifiable information from you (“Personal Information”). By providing us information, you consent to us processing it as required by the Services or as set forth in this Privacy Policy. When we no longer have your consent or processing your information is no longer necessary for providing you the Services, we will stop doing so. Personal Information means any information that may be used, either alone or in combination with other information, to personally identify an individual, including, but not limited to: 

  • “Contact Information” which includes, but is not limited to, your name, birthdate, email address, phone number, username and password. Steadii uses your Contact Information solely to provide you with access to the Services and to contact you regarding the Services. Provided, however, Steadii may use your Contact Information for its own marketing purposes or to conduct surveys, but you have the right to opt-out of such use at any time by changing your account preferences or using the “opt-out” link in our emails to you. 
  • “Billing Information” which includes credit card and other billing information. Steadii will provide your Billing Information to our third-party payment processor who will use the Billing Information to charge you for the Services as agreed to between you and Steadii. 
  • “Health Information” which includes information about you and the one you are caring for, including demographic information, that may identify you or the one you are caring for, and relates to past, present, or future physical or mental health or conditions, or related health care services. We only collect Health Information shared by you, and use the Health Information to create a personalized support system for you as you embark on your caregiving journey. Steadii is not a covered entity as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), and therefore, is not subject to HIPAA regulations but will protect your Health Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 

    We maintain the privacy of your Personal Information and do not use it for any reason except as detailed in this Privacy Policy or for other purposes at your request or with your consent. We will never sell your Personal Information to anyone. 


Demographic & Non-Identifying Information


Steadii may collect and process “Demographic Information” from or about you or the one you are caring for, while you are using our Services, including, but not limited to: age, gender, and zip code. Demographic Information may be collected through various forms and in various places on our website or mobile app, including account registration and contact forms. 


Steadii also collects data about User’s sense of wholeness and specific style when caregiving that does not identify User and that enables User to fully participate in the Services (“Non-Identifying Information”). Non-Identifying Information means information which does not enable identification of an individual User, such as aggregated information about use of the Services. Provided, however, that to the extent that Steadii combines any Non-Identifying Information and Demographic Information with your Personal Information, we will treat the combined data as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy. 


Usage Data


In addition to any Personal Information or other information that you choose to submit to us, Steadii and our third-party service providers may use cookies and other tracking technologies that automatically (or passively) store or collect certain information whenever you visit or interact with the Services (“Usage Information”). This Usage Information may be stored or accessed using a variety of technologies that may be downloaded to User’s personal computer, browser, laptop, tablet, mobile phone or other device (a “Device”) whenever User visits or interacts with Steadii’s Site or mobile application. To the extent Steadii associates Usage Information with User’s Personal Information Steadii collects directly from User on the Site, Steadii will treat it as Personal Information.


This Usage Information may include:

  • User’s IP address, UDID or other unique identifier (“Device Identifier”). A Device Identifier is a number that is automatically assigned to User’s Device used to access the Site, and Steadii’s computers identify User’s Device by its Device Identifier;
  • User’s Device functionality (including browser, operating system, hardware, mobile network information);
  • User’s subscription level;
  • the URL that referred User to Steadii’s Site;
  • the areas within Steadii’s Site or mobile or website application that User visits and User’s activities there, including remembering User, User’s preferences and pages User requested and/or viewed;
  • User’s Device location;
  • User’s Device characteristics; and
  • certain other Device data, including the time of day, among other information.

Additionally, cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive or in device memory that help us improve the Services and your experience, see which areas and features of the Services are popular, and count total user visits. When you return to websites that save cookies on your device—or visit websites that use the same cookies—the websites recognize the cookies and your browsing device. We may use this information to analyze and track data, improve the Services, and better understand your activity and experience. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, see the Your Choices section below. Please be aware that Steadii is not required to obtain your consent to the tracking technologies which are strictly necessary, and if you disable or remove cookies on your device, some parts of Steadii’s Services may not function properly. 


HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION


Steadii uses the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Services. We may also use the information we collect to: 

  • Create and maintain your account, including verifying your information is accurate;
  • Enable User to participate in a variety of the features of the Services;  
  • Ensure that content on the Services is presented in the most effective manner for you; 
  • Process transactions and send related information such as confirmation, receipts, and user experience surveys;
  • Send you technical notices, security alerts, and support messages, including changes to our policies;
  • Communicate with you about new services and features, or news we think will be of interest to you (see Your Choices below for information about how to opt out of these communications at any time);
  • Provide customer service and respond to your questions and comments, including to identify you as the author of any comments you send us to be posted on the Services;
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with the Services;
  • Provide you with information, services, or process transactions that you agree to or request, including our electronic newsletter;
  • Identify and repair errors in the Services;
  • For internal business purposes; 
  • Provide marketing materials or relevant advertising, promotions and recommendations from us or our business partners;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents and other malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity and protect the rights and property of us and others; and
  • Carry out any other purposes disclosed to you at the time the information was collected.

User can always opt out of utilizing the Services, and accordingly opt out of Steadii’s use of User’s Personal Information by sending an email to howdii@steadii.com.


SHARING YOUR INFORMATION


We share your information in the following circumstances or as otherwise provided in this Privacy Policy:

  • We share information with our attorneys and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.
  • We may disclose information if we believe such disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law or legal process. 
  • We may share information if we believe you have violated the law, if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our policies or user agreements, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of us or others.
  • We may share information in connection with, or during negotiations concerning, a merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition or all or part of our business by another company.
  • We share information between and among us and our current and future parents, affiliates, and companies under common ownership.
  • We share information with your consent or at your direction.
  • We share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you; and 
  • We share information with vendors, service providers, and consultants that need to access the information to perform services for us, such as companies that assist us with web hosting, storage, and other infrastructure, analytics, payment processing, fraud prevention and security, customer service, communications, and marketing.

Interactions with Third-Party Websites


The Services may include functionality that allows certain kinds of interactions between the Services and User’s account on a third-party website or application. The use of this functionality may involve the third-party operator providing certain information, including Personal Information, to Steadii. If Steadii offers and User chooses to use this functionality to access Steadii’s Services, the third-party site or application may send Personal Information about User to the Site or mobile applicaiton. If so, Steadii will then treat it as Personal Information under this Privacy Policy, since Steadii is collecting it as a result of User’s accessing of and interaction on Steadii’s Services. In addition, Steadii may provide third-party sites’ interfaces or links on the Services to facilitate User’s sending a communication from the Services. For example, Steadii may use third parties to facilitate emails, text messages, blog postings, tweets or Facebook postings. These third parties may retain any information used or provided in any such communications or other activities and these third parties’ practices are not subject to Steadii’s Privacy Policy. Steadii may not control or have access to User’s communications through these third parties. Further, when User use third-party sites or services, User is using their services and not Steadii’s services and they, not Steadii, are responsible for their practices. User should review the applicable third-party privacy policies before using such third-party tools on Steadii’s Site.


USER GENERATED CONTENT


“User Content” is any content, materials or information (including without limitation, any text, information, graphics, messages, photos, images and works of authorship kind), data, questions, comments, suggestions or other content, including personally identifiable information that you upload, send, email, display, perform, distribute, post or otherwise transmit to us, at our request or on your own, on, or through the Services, whether in connection with your use of the Services or through the use of any third party websites or third party services or otherwise, and whether publicly posted or privately transmitted.


Steadii or others may store, display, reproduce, publish, distribute or otherwise use User Content online or offline in any media or format (currently existing or hereafter developed) and may or may not attribute it to User. Others may have access to this User Content and may have the ability to share it with third parties. Please think carefully before deciding what information User shares, including Personal Information, in connection with User’s User Content. Be aware that public postings (including group messaging with other Users) are not confidential. Please note that the Steadii does not control who will have access to the information that User chooses to make public, and cannot ensure that parties who have access to such publicly available information will respect User’s privacy or keep it secure. Steadii is not responsible for the privacy or security of any information that User makes publicly available on the Services, the mobile application or Site or what others do with information User shares with them on the mobile application and Site. Steadii is not responsible for the accuracy, use or misuse of any User Content that User discloses or receives from third parties through the Services.


YOUR CHOICES


Account Information


You may access, correct, and delete your information by contacting us via email at: howdii@steadii.com. If you choose to delete your account, we may continue to retain certain information about you as required by law or for our legitimate business purposes. In addition, upon receipt of User’s written request and upon Steadii’s receipt of enough information to permit Steadii to identify User’s Personal Information, Steadii will disclose to User the Personal Information Steadii holds about User. Steadii will also correct, amend or delete any Personal Information that is inaccurate and notify any third party recipients of the necessary changes.


Opting Out


You may choose not to receive future promotional, advertising, or other Services-related notifications from us by changing the notification settings on your device. If you choose not to receive notifications, you may still use the Services but you may not receive, or may be unable to use, certain Services that involve our interaction with you.


Cookies 


You may opt out of receiving certain marketing communications from us by following the instructions in the communications—generally, clicking an unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email. You cannot generally opt out of transactional or administrative emails, so we may continue to send you those emails even if you opt out from marketing communications.


CHILDREN’S PRIVACY


The Services are neither directed to nor structured to attract children under the age of 13 years. Accordingly, we do not intend to collect information from anyone we know to be under 13 years of age. Persons under 13 years of age are prohibited from using the Service. If we learn that information of persons less than 13 years of age has been collected without verifiable parental consent, then we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information. SECURITY


The security of your Personal Information is important to us. We follow generally accepted industry standards, including the use of appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards, to protect the Personal Information submitted to us. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security or confidentiality. Please be aware that certain Personal Information and other information provided by you in connection with your use of the Services may be stored on your device (even if we do not collect that information). You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your device from unauthorized access.


LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES


The Services may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other third party websites, and you visit them at your own risk.


DISPUTE RESOLUTION


Steadii uses a self-assessment approach to assure compliance with this Privacy Policy and periodically verifies that the policy is accurate, comprehensive for the information intended to be covered, prominently displayed, completely implemented and accessible and in conformity with the promises in this policy. Steadii encourages interested persons to raise any concerns using the contact information provided and Steadii will investigate and attempt to resolve any complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of Personal Information in accordance with this policy.


BUSINESS TRANSITIONS


In the event Steadii goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another organization, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, User’s Personal Information might be among the assets transferred. User will be notified via this Site of any such change in ownership or control of User’s Personal Information.


NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS


If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with additional rights regarding our use of your Personal Information. To learn more about your California privacy rights, visit: https://www.oag.ca.gov/privacy/ccpa.  


California Online Privacy Protection Act Notice. 


On September 27, 2013, California enacted A.B. 370, amending the California Online Privacy Protection Act to require website operators like us to disclose how we respond to “Do Not Track Signals”; and whether third parties collect personally identifiable information about users when they visit us.

  1. We do not track users, who do not interact with its sharing functionality across the web, and therefore do not use “do not track” signals.
  2. We do not authorize the collection of personally identifiable information from our users for third party use through advertising technologies without separate member consent.
  3. We do not sell your Personal Information. 

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 


California Civil Code Section 1798.83 also permits our customers who are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please send an email to howdii@steadii.com. Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year.

Steadii reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time as needed with notice provided to User. Changes will take effect upon User’s acceptance of the modified terms and User’s continued use of the Site, mobile application or Services.
